Initial situation

A highly specialized small service company in the field of remote sensing (satellite data analysis) wanted to optimize its structures.

Certification would give it an advantage in international competition.

The challenge

The company mainly employed scientists in the provision of services, who were not very familiar with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and could see little sense in it due to the experience communicated to date.

At that time, there were almost no accredited certification service providers who were qualified to certify process-oriented QM systems.

Objective

Be one of the first remote sensing service companies to obtain a certificate for a process-oriented QM system in accordance with DIN ISO 9001.

Results

Being one of the first companies ever to receive a DIN ISO 9001 certificate for a process-oriented QM system.
